Position Overview

We are hiring Machine Operators to support production operations across the Wausau facility. This role is responsible for safely operating equipment, producing quality parts, and supporting overall production efficiency.

Employees in this role may operate a variety of CNC equipment including laser, plasma, oxy-fuel and other CNC controlled systems. This position may support multiple areas of the operation based on experience and business needs.

Specific machine experience or general manufacturing experience may be preferred depending on role assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment including CNC machines
  • Select and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and quality
  • Confirm correct material type and dimensions prior to production
  • Load and unload material and parts as required
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work with supervisors and team members to meet production schedule and goals

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1+ year of manufacturing or warehouse experience
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience operating CNC or similar production equipment
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to use a tape measure or other measuring devices

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or climb for extended periods (8+ hours per shift)
  • Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch
  • Work is performed indoors in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility

Shift & Scheduling

Multiple shifts are available. Applicants will have the opportunity to indicate their preferred shift during the application process. 2nd and 3rd shift positions may include additional pay through a shift differential. Final shift assignment will be based on business needs and applicant experience.

Overtime opportunities may be available based on workload and production needs.
